How can I resolve my anger issues.?

Lately work has been very hectic and I%26#039;ve seen how mean people can really be. My supervisor treats people like crap and I somehow end up doing her job of resolving issues but she gets the credit. I have been snapping at people, and that is really out of character for me. I have talked to upper management about my supervisor and she is being moved. But I want to get the old me back. I use to be quiet, and usually didn%26#039;t care what other people say or did, but now I need anger management. Can someone please tell me that there is a solution. Thanks

Anger management is addressed in section 4, at ezy build, below. If you can%26#039;t deal with it by using one of the techniques, such as counting backwards from 20, to 1, (and prevent yourself from making yourself angry, in the first place) is important to express that anger appropriately, at the time, and to the person who caused it, if possible, or immediately afterwards, if not, maybe by walking away later, and bellowing your rage. In some situations, such as work, or school, it might be better to cover your mouth with a cupped hand, bandanna/handkerchief, or use the crook of your elbow, to muffle the sound. Some people find that it helps to journal those thoughts, and emotions soon afterwards. Anger, which is repressed, rather than healthily expressed, tends to fester, and later may cause explosive fits of rage, or depression. It helps to have someone you can talk to. For more physically inclined people, a punching bag, or hitting your pillow, can be an effective release mechanism: visualise, as vividly as you can, that you are striking back at the cause of that anger. ~~~ From Y!A: %26quot;But next time, when you get mad, just remember this quote: %26#039;Those who anger you, conquer you.%26#039; It%26#039;s basically saying that when you give someone the power to make you mad, or let it get to you, it%26#039;s like they%26#039;re controlling you. When I realized that, it made me mad, so I try to control my anger and not let people see it. You can still control your anger without being walked all over. You just have to draw a line.%26quot; http://www.ezy-build.net/ (.net.nz/~shaneris) [Type, and enter the following URL, in the usual manner: h t t p : / / w w w . e z y - b u i l d . n e t . n z / ~ s h a n e r i s ]~~

Hey! It sounds like you need a good break and some time to relax. Are you able to take some time off work to do this? Even if its for just a couple of days - some relaxation time should help you relax, get rid of any built up stresses and frustration you may be feeling and it will let you enjoy yourself. Sorting out everybody elses rubbish is no easy task and can make ANYONE moody.

If you don%26#039;t think this will work for you, then perhaps speaking to a councillor will help bring back who you used to be. Please - people who are crazy are NOT the only people who see councillors. A lot of people see them for a lot of different reasons, including stress and anger management. It may be worth your while just seeing someone for a couple of sessions just to get some tips on managing anger in your workplace. It is also just good to get things off of your chest, especially if you haven%26#039;t had anyone to talk to about it. I%26#039;ve have see a councillor before and they are very helpful. They will help you find strategies that are suited to you, and they are nonjudgemental and will keep all your information confidential. There are places that are government funded or at least offer patients a %26#039;mental health plan%26#039; so you can save a lot of money if you can find one.

Whatever you decide to do, i hope you feel like your old self soon. Good luck!!!
