My Science long-term sub thought I stole a bunch of my powerpoint stuff from other people and its not in my own words... but it is and she won%26#039;t believe me? She never even checked the sources I put in, I don%26#039;t even care that I lost points, just the fact that she can%26#039;t believe I wrote it is insulting and then to assume me a liar? I want to go after school tomorrow and have her point out which part isn%26#039;t in my own words. Is that too cocky? She just really p!ssed me off... this has happened before with other teachers- little do they know I hat it when ppl do what they%26#039;re accusing me of, its terrible to take credit for someone elses brain, and I you do you should put it in quotations... just mad here should I state my opinion or let it be?
I swear that is in my own words...?
Ask her to show you where you plagiarized and from what source...accusations must be backed up with proof to stand.
If she refuses, take it over her head, she reports to someone, and she is a substitute. Get your folks involved...they have more clout than do you.
I swear that is in my own words...?
I think you should definitely stand up to this teacher (sub, w/e) but don%26#039;t be too accusatory. It%26#039;s awful for her to take off points on just the assumption that it%26#039;s not in your own words. Also its patronizing to assume that you can%26#039;t write anything that good. She should be more open- minded and realize that some students can write well, and know how to use %26quot;big words%26quot;!
