I'm in college, no job, no income and the bills are loading up on me..getting frustrated?

I have a cell phone bill every month, cable/internet, best buy credit card bill, and a student loan that needs to be paid monthly..I moved to a dorm in janurary and no jobs have come through....i live in a small town now so its tough to find a job here and i need money bad...really bad...is there anything i can do? and dont say anything like %26quot;sell crack%26quot; or anything dumb cuz this is a serious matter. My mom tries to help me as much as she can but she has her own responsibilites that need to be taken care of....i need at LEAST $250 a month but i would be better off with about $400 a month until i go back home in june back to a big city and can get a job

why are you racking up all this debt if you dont have a job and your parents arent paying for you to go to school. There are plenty of student loan orgizations but you will need a cosigner. If you really cant find a job in the area where you go to school or with the school you should consider transfering, that is obsurd you cant find a part time job in a college town.. i was rejecting jobs in college.

Why are you repaying student loans if you are still in college? Those should be deferred. Also, if you can%26#039;t afford it, dump the cell phone. You may have to pay a fee for breaking a contract but is the fee less than the future payments?

Aside from that, sell just about anything on E-Bay or look into secret shopping.

Generations of your family have coped without a cell phone. You can too. If you can%26#039;t dump it, you%26#039;re not serious.

Check around or advertise with fliers for odd jobs house cleaning in the area, babysitting - or if you%26#039;re good at it - typing and/or proofing term papers and such. Good luck!

As you are still in school, you should request a deferrment of the student loan until you are out.

You need to close the best buy card.

Get rid of the cable and do dial up internet. Or even better, use the internet at teh library.

Finally, get a pre-paid cell phone that is used for emergencies only.

Get a job. Even if you work as a waiter or bartender on the weekends, if you work hard, you should be able to easily make $250.

get rid of the unnecessary expenses and go wait tables. there are jobs everywhere if you look hard enough.

Defer your loan, dump the cable and cell, quit spending even for a cup of coffee.

Go to the school and ask for a work study program.

They pay you minimum wage for simple stuff. But, it is MONEY and the hours don%26#039;t interfere with your college work.

I%26#039;d say get rid of the cable and credit card. well, what are you buying with the card? if it is programs for school, then just use it for that purpose. Buying %26#039;stuff%26#039; that you don%26#039;t really need (DVD%26#039;s, CD%26#039;s, Entertainment equipment) will add to your bill. On the same note, ask them if you can just make minimum payments until you have better income.

The Student loan should not be your responsibility yet because you are still IN school. They should not have asked you to start paying off your student loan yet when you aren%26#039;t even done with college yet. Defer the student loan. Keep your cell on and lower it to a basic plan. Keep your internet (for obvious reasons! lol)

Get a part-time job for the weekends, of course you may sacrifice friends and social gatherings, but it is only temporary until you can find a job that will be beneficial to your degree (sort of like a pre-internship).

Make sure you do just this and you should be fine.

Loose the cable and go to prepaid cell phones. Defer the student loan, who the heck loans money to someone with no job? Sell whatever you bought at best buy and pay off the debt there, unless it was a lap top...figure out a way to earn some $$$ with the lap top, a work at home job. Stop spending any $$$.
