I need some California divorce advise?
Have you talked to an attorney? If she filed on you, then she got the first punch in. YOU BETTER GET YOURSELF an ATTORNEY ASAP or YOU will be left holding the bag. Literally.

get a lawyer, and do it now so that you can file your response. otherwise you are pretty much screwed in the state of california.
anything in both of your names, both are responsible for until the divorce is final. if an account/bill is in one person%26#039;s name and not the other, it%26#039;s their sole responsibility. any debts concurred by either party from the date the divorce began (jan.11, 2008) is that party%26#039;s responsibility, it will not be split and/or factored into the divorce decree.
seriously get yourself represented asap. otherwise she can railroad you and you won%26#039;t have a whole lot to say or do about it.

Hi!if you have credit cards that are in both your names yes you do still need to help with the payments. if both your names are on the mortgage and she walks away she is still responsible for the mortgage which means anything that happens to it will go in her name to.is there anyway you could keep the condo and make the payment yourself?if so you can see if she can sign over her rights to you,and then put it in your name.if not you will have to sell and give her half of anything that was acquired during your marriage anything that was yours before the marriage and any gifts or inheritance is still yours.sorry to hear about this situation it really sucks.good luck and you really should get some legal counsel so you don%26#039;t end up getting screwed over.

Talk to an attorney.
Typically, it%26#039;s all joint up until the date that the divorce is filed for. After that, any expenses you incur are typically your own.
Make sure you close anything that is joint. Split joint accounts equally. Close joint credit cards immediately.
You don%26#039;t want her doing anything that will negatively impact your credit (and vice versa).
