Is a $12-$13 /hour job good enough to move into a $700-$800/month apartment?

Is a $13/hour job good enough for me to move into my own apartment ( around $700/month ) ? ?

I have carpayments $425 , and I have Insurance payments ( which my mom will take care for next 6 months ) . I dn%26#039;t live with my family anymore.

I can stay with my uncle for 2 more months , which can help me save up enough money to move out , what do you think ?

I have 3 credit cards which are on automatic payment ( $50/month ) and One student loan $50

So it comes out to be around 200 ( for all the payments ) + 425 ( Car ) = 625 ..

Now the rent will be 800 , so The total will be around $1,425.

Even if I get a job with $13/hour .It%26#039;ll only give me 1680 dollars

If it%26#039;s a $420 paycheck . Which I doubt ( AFter the taxes and everything )

Now this 1680 - 1,425 = leaves me with $255 . Is this enough money for me to live on for the month .

I need someone%26#039;s opinion who has gone through this situation and knows what%26#039;s best for me .What do you think?

no i dont think so. other costs will arise....u might need to find a cheaper apartment or get a higher paying job.

255 for month....hmmm lets see that will barely get you food. do you need the car?

also student loan, maybe you can renegotiate this to paying it later?

im not sure, but good luck, you%26#039;ll need a higher paying job tho.

Yes, but you may want to consider a roommate/housemate as you will be broke. Also start a budget. anything is possible. good luck!

Wait for a few more months and build your cashflow. You haven%26#039;t really accounted for taxes so it%26#039;s not even $250 left each month.

Consider an apartment share for now. That way you%26#039;re only spending $350/ month.

Open a savings account and get automatic deductions $50-$100 into your savings account each month. Continue paying your bills on time.

Then in another year, consider getting a house Lease with the option to buy for $700 per month. That way, when you spend the money - you will eventually have something to show for it.

You are very likely to succeed since you are planning in advance. That%26#039;s something most people forget to do.

Also, read the book The AUTOMATIC MILLIONAIRE by David Bach.

Good luck.

I would suggest getting a cheaper car 425 a month and only making 12 to 13 an hour. You can definately afford your own place just have to budget, i did it during college. Find a place to donate plasma and thats another 200 bucks a month in your pocket, cut back on eating out and the bar , stock up on mac and cheese, ramen noodles and natural ice.

It should be, unless you have bad spending habits !

I think you need a room mate, and to get rid of that expensive car of yours. Actually what you have is a career crisis you need a better job and of course you need to live on less than you make.
