Trying to help an 18 yr old.?

He has over $1200 in CC debt and a low paying job. Also he has over $7000 medical debt on his credit report. The medical expense happened when he was still home before his dad kicked him out. He did not even know about the med expense... thought his dad had taken care of it. Dad will not help him... how can I?

By the way both of the above items have gone to a collection agency.

i would suggest helping him MAKE money, if he cant pay the gov back, wat makes you think he%26#039;ll pay you back if you lend him money

If the medical expenses were incurred before he turned 18 he is not legally responsible for them .... if they were then he is ....

Making payments on both is really all that he can do.

Sunshine is right, he is not liable for any debts incurred before he was 18.

As for the CC debt, if it is still with the credit card company he can call and see if they have any payment plans available.
