My dad, step mom and I arent talking right now.. They just dumped all my school bills on me and my medical bills that he promised he would pay if I moved in with him a few years back (not the only reason I moved in those were just promises made), just because I got my first ticket and he didnt feel like paying the med/school anymore, I took care of the ticket.. when he already knew I am in debt on my own and trying to live on my own paying rent, insu etc. They actually stopped paying them in Jan w/out telling me and now they are in collections when my credit before was almost PERFECT now its down hella and I am pissed. I havent talked to them in couple weeks now and am feeling torn. I miss my dad but am so mad at him for what he did.. Am I right for being so mad and not talking to him or should I tear down my wall and talk to them???

what you should do is mend that fence. the longer you act the fool the worse things are going to get.

Go talk to them. That agreement to pay all of your school expenses is probably more than they thought it would be for Med School. Ask if they can help you financially and then go get a school loan....that is what 90% of the rest of the world has to do if they don%26#039;t have rich parents. See if you can qualify for some grants or something. Does your Stepmother have a job? If so, I think it is unfair of you to expect her to work and hand over her paycheck for your school expenses. Think about it and fix the situation. Start out by telling them you are sorry.

Tear down the wall and start talking honey. At least ask why they did that without telling you. I would hate to see a family fall apart if it was a reason beyond their control. Maybe they couldn%26#039;t afford it, maybe something happened they were ashamed to discuss. The country is in financial ruins right now, it%26#039;s not fair for you to think they are going to continue paying your way. You chose med school, you knew what kind of debt that means, you also know what rewards come later after the school bills are gone. If anything, contact the financial aid office and have your school loans post-poned until you complete school, then take on the payments yourself. Don%26#039;t let money divide your family...it%26#039;s not worth it.
