What should I do since Aloha Airlines went bankrupt and I had tickets for June?

I have a big family trip planned, and have already paid for 2 tickets to Maui from Southern California. They just claimed bankruptcy and cancelled all flights. Their webpage directs you to contact United Airlines as they will try to take care of ticket holders. This is false, as United Airlines is telling us they will not unless you booked Aloha tickets through United Airlines web page. We called our credit card, (Mastercard) and they did a temporary refund, but we have to go through a claim. Will we get our money back in this situation or no because it is a bunkruptcy? Should I go ahead and book another flight now?

United is taking care of AQ ticket holders *with a discounted fare thru the end of April*. For June, you will have to start all over again %26amp; look for fares %26amp; seats.....but you should eventually get the $ back you charged on Mastercard

I heard that they will honor all tickets that we purchased before their bankrupcy. I would wait a couple days.....see what happens.

You SHOULD get your money back, only because you filed through your credit card. If you had paid cash or check - you would have had to file through bankruptcy court... and wait. Good luck.

Peace to you.

You will most likely get your money back through Mastercard if you can%26#039;t get it back any other way. I would start looking for another flight.

Since you paid with a credit card, you will get the money back. Try calling United again. You may get a different response depending on what customer service agent you talk to. If they keep telling you the same thing, then either ask to speak to their supervisor or start shopping on-line for airfare.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: Contact your travel agent or credit card company to request a refund.

Q: What if I paid by check or cash can I still get a refund?

A: You can file a claim with the Bankruptcy Court.
